In a context in which global challenges such as climate change, food security and sustainability require clear and viable scientific responses, the publication of this journal not only enriches the academic body, but also constitutes a valuable tool for producers, technicians, and decision-makers. Readers have the opportunity to identify and implement experimental strategies in their own production systems, promoting more efficient and resilient agriculture. The journal also fosters a space for interdisciplinary collaboration and the creation of research networks, which enables authors and institutions involved to exchange ideas, approaches and methodologies that contribute to mutual enrichment. This is especially relevant in emerging sub-areas such as agricultural digitalization, bioeconomy and adaptation to climate change, which require the integration of knowledge from different disciplines.
