Guidelines for Authors:
Essays submitted to PRIUS must contain innovative results or conclusions with substantive ideas that advance in a non-trivial way knowledge of the areas covered by the journal.
It is expected that your article summarizes in a pertinent and rigorous way the scientific results that you wish to present.
- Submission: Articles must be submitted via the PRIUS OJS portal (Requires login to PRIUS - Journal of Law and Political Science
- Presentation: Use the .docx template (word template) provided to prepare the text. Any document that does not follow the rules and the attached template will be automatically rejected.
- Language: The texts must be written in Spanish, English, Italian, German and French.
- Format: CHICAGO (17th Edition)
- Extension: Between 5 to 15 pages.
- Title: It must be informative, brief and concise. The article must have a title in the author's language and the other in English.
- Author: Use the initials of names in capital letters followed by periods. The last name must be written in full. Co-authors will not be allowed.
- Institution or Affiliate: Provide the institution or affiliate. Use superscripts to link their respective institutions.
- Email (@): Provide your email address. Use superscripts to link your addresses.
- ORCID Code: If possible, enter your ORCID code (optional).
STRUCTURE:
- Summary: Brief and concise. It must fully explain the content of the essay and must not exceed 200 words.
- Introduction: The introduction is a section prior to the body of the essay, where it must be stated in no more than 500 words regarding the topics that will be discussed in general, trying to make it as concise as possible.
- Development: The development of the essay must be divided into subheadings according to the topics to be discussed, following the forms of the Chicago format (17th edition).
- Conclusion: A conclusion in an essay is the final part of the essay in which the main ideas of the essay are summarized and presented in a clear and concise manner. The conclusion should provide a clear and compelling answer to the question or issue raised in the introduction of the essay, and should demonstrate how the assertions of the essay have been supported throughout its development.
- Acknowledgments (optional)
- References: Use the Chicago format.
- Regarding the figures: use the PDF or EPS format for the images. The use of color is encouraged. Enter appropriate titles for each figure. (Optional and conditioned to the type of test)
- Appendices: No appendices or annexes are allowed.
Code of ethics
PRIUS requests that all participants in the publication process (authors, reviewers, and editors) adhere to ethical standards. The journal uses the single-blind peer review system and is guided by the ethical guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics, COPE. (http://publicationethics.org/ ).
Authors
- Authors must ensure that their essay submitted to PRIUS has not been previously published, is not under consideration in any other journal, or is being submitted to any other journal while it is under consideration in PRIUS.
- Authors must not infringe any copyright. When reproducing figures, significant portions of text, and/or outlines from previous publications, it is the responsibility of the authors to obtain the appropriate permission from the relevant publishers. If copyleft policies apply to copied material, due acknowledgment must be given by citing the earlier work (regardless of whether the work is by the same authors or not).
- Republishing a previously published essay in another language is not acceptable on PRIUS.
- Authors must include a set of references to contextualize the work, indicate the sources consulted and give credit to previous workers. This is crucial for readers to connect the work with related research.
Plagiarism Policy:
The journal penalizes plagiarism in all its forms. The detection of plagiarism implies the conclusion of any editorial process. Turnitin software is used, among others, to determine matches between submitted texts and other texts and articles already published on the Internet.
