The study was carried out at the Palmira Farm on Brown soil for three successive years (2022-2023-2024), whose objective was to select the varieties of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) with the best agronomic response in late sowing. Growth indicators, yield components and incidence of pests on the foliage were measured In the varieties. A randomized block experimental design was used, with 3 replicates of 24 m2 and 12 treatments, a total of 1800 plants were evaluated. The varieties did not present the same response to environmental conditions and traditional practices. The variables of performance and resilience to pest attack were decisive for decision making. Buena Ventura, CUL 156, Guamá 23 and Delicias 364 were chosen for the bean production system based on the performance results for years.
