It is an honor for me, as Editor-in-Chief of the Peer-Reviewed Journal of Contemporary Education, to present to you volume 1 number 2 of our publication. This issue is dedicated to the dossier entitled: “Education, Well-being and Development: Innovative Perspectives for Social and Academic Transformation”, a set of articles that highlight the commitment of researchers to contemporary challenges in the educational and social field.
The content of this dossier reflects a diversity of approaches, disciplines and practices aimed at addressing key issues in the educational sector. In the nine articles presented, topics ranging from university social responsibility to the impact of learning communities on teacher performance, through the integration of technologies in educational environments, literacy in children, and emotional well-being in educational work environments are explored.
