Abstract

This research had the purpose of analyzing the conclusions reached by the different studies or research carried out on the socio-critical approach in education, considering that this is the basis and foundation of the educational systems of certain nations, for which it has been followed as methodology the systematic review of articles indexed in various databases, mostly Dialnet, in addition to having worked with publications from the last five years; To find information, 'educational approaches' and 'socio-formative approach' were used as key concepts. The results show that it is the Central American nations that have done the most research on this pedagogical approach, in terms of its use in training institutions; Furthermore, the categories approach, model or theory are used to name the socio-formative educational essence and, in general, the conclusions express a desire for the implementation of this approach in the educational systems of almost all of Latin America.
